There are various options depending on your situation:

I am travelling from Slovakia / Czechia and want to use public transport

Perfect, you environmental hero. We recommend travelling by train, although buses are also an option. There is a direct train connection from Bratislava, Košice, Prague, Brno, etc. You can find your journey here: Transport
 
Need a lift? Let us know here: Wedding spreadsheet. We’ll try to match you with a volunteer driver.
 
We recommend arriving by Friday evening so you can join us for the festivities on Saturday around lunchtime. The full schedule will appear in the Program tab in due course. We hope you party hard with us on Saturday and won’t be in the position to leave Žilina before Sunday lunchtime.

I am travelling from Slovakia / Czechia and have a car

I am travelling from abroad

Thank you so much for making the trip! We know it’s not exactly next door, but we are beyond excited to celebrate with you.
 
Your best airport options are:

  • Bratislava: Once you land in Bratislava, you can take a bus (~30 minutes) or a cab (~10 minutes; we recommend ordering via Bolt) to the main railway station. From there you can take a direct train to Žilina (~2-3 hours). You can find your journey here: Transport

  • Vienna: Once you land in Vienna, you can take a bus (~ 1 hour) to Bratislava. From there you can take a direct train to Žilina (~2-3 hours). You can find your journey here: Transport

  • Poprad-Tatry: Once you land in Poprad-Tatry, you can take a bus or a cab (we recommend ordering via Bolt) to the city of Poprad. From there you can take a direct train to Žilina (~2 hours). You can find your journey here: Transport

  • Košice: Once you land in Košice, you can take a bus or a cab (we recommend ordering via Bolt) to the city. From there you can take a direct train to Žilina (~4 hours). You can find your journey here: Transport

ACCOMMODATION

I need accommodation

We know getting to our wedding is an adventure (and an expense!) in itself, and we’re so grateful you’re making the journey. If you feel you could use a hand with accommodation costs, we’d love to offer you a free bed at the student dorms (shared rooms of 2–3 – nothing fancy, but free!).
